L.A. Times liveblog now nationwide
By Ben Welsh •
Today marks a small landmark for the custom liveblog our team built to help the Los Angeles Times cover the 2016 campaign.
After starting out as a hacktastic kludge on latimes.com, it's now all growed up and live across the network of Tribune newspapers, from Chicago to Baltimore to South Florida.
It ain't no Da Vinci, but it works and it shows that when equipped with the proper skills and authority the newsroom can build better tools for itself.
Praise due to a lot of hard work and ingenuity by Honest Charley Bodkin, Lily Mazet, Evan Wagstaff and Julie Westfall.
And of course it's still a work in progress. So if something sucks I expect you to tell me about it.
